925 Productions was founded and run by producer Laura McNicholas. As a Puttnam Scholar, Laura is part of the Screen Ireland/Northern Ireland Screen Initiative with Lord David Puttnam. 925 develops and produces TV drama and feature films. 925 Productions has received Screen Ireland Creative Futures Development Slate Funding and is focused on creating Irish stories for local and international audiences. The 925 slate includes the Halloween genre comedy feature The Mount and the dramas YES! & The Liberties. YES! was selected for the TV pitch at MIA in Rome and The Liberties was selected for the TV pitch at Series Mania in Lille.
925's debut feature film 'Spilt Milk' had its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival in Estonia & was nominated for four IFTA's including Best Film, Best Director and Best Script. ‘Spilt Milk' won the Mubi Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival in Scotland, the Best Film Awards at the Zlin IFF in the Czech Republic and the Olympia International Film Festival in Greece along with audience awards at the Mediterranean Film Festival Spilt in Croatia, the British & Irish Film Festival in Luxembourg and the Kerry International Film Festival in Ireland.
Additional premieres include the Munich International Film Festival in Germany, Europe On Screen in Indonesia along with the Dublin International Film Festival and the Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland, with the French premiere taking place at the Dinard British & Irish Film Festival, the US Premiere at the 61st Chicago International Film Festival and a Belfast premiere at the Cinemagic Film Festival. ‘Spilt Milk’ will be theatrically released in March 2026.
